Rocket League Season 6: Start date, rumours, leaks, & latest news

Rocket League’s next season is on the way and it can’t come soon enough, really. Season 5 is great, but it feels like we’re due an update following the Frosty Fest event. Here’s everything we know about the new Season 6 update and when it’s due.

LATEST – Still no official news…

We know Rocket League’s developers don’t offer us much in the way of advanced news, but we haven’t seen anything from them in quite some time. We’re due an update in a couple of weeks – and we’re still assuming that this timeline is correct until otherwise stated – but we, as fans, deserve something… Right?

Keep an eye on Psyonix’s social media account for more information and we’ll keep you updated with the latest leaks and rumours.

When does Rocket League Season 6 start?

We don’t have an official announcement just yet, but we can look at the current season’s duration to get a sense of when the next Rocket League update should be on the way.

Season 5 is expected to end on January 20th, 2022 – so, we’re expecting Rocket League Season 6 to kick off on the same date. It’s worth taking this with a pinch of salt, though, until we know more.

Psyonix doesn’t like to reveal too much information too early, so that means we might not find out officially when Season 6 is coming until a week before it drops.

What are we expecting from Season 6?

At the moment, it’s hard to predict what theming we’re getting for Rocket League’s next season – however, we can talk about some of the content we’re expecting to be added.

Rocket League Season 6 should introduce a new car through the new Rocket Pass and over 100 Tiers of unlockable cosmetics. We should also get a new Arena – or at least a new variant of an existing Arena – added to the rotation of maps too.

If we’re lucky, there will be a new LTM added to Rocket League too. We’re not sure about this one though, because we’ve not seen a fully new LTM added to the game in quite some time. It might be at that stage where we’re destined for re-hashes for the rest of the game’s lifetime. We hope not, but only time will tell… Keep an eye on Rocket League’s social media channels for more.
